1Password and Keeper are password management solutions used by companies to ensure employees are using secure passwords and that their passwords aren’t compromised, to apply role-based controls and to enforce stricter access standards for teams or employees if desired (e.g. 2FA), and also to help enterprises ensure account data (and therefore data accessible through these accounts) is not accessible to rogue entities. These particular password solutions also include security intelligence, in the form of Password1’s domain breach reporting, and Keeper’s dark web monitoring service, Breachwatch. Both solutions are popular with companies of all sizes, though they both tend to be deployed more at smaller companies.
Features
1Password and Keeper provide basic password management features such as password generation and storage, and have greatly overlapping feature sets. In addition to commonalities and overall similar ratings, they do each have a few standout features users have called attention to, that distinguish one from the other.
1Password users enjoy the core password generation and auto-fill functionality, noting that the tool is customizable to generate passwords that meet a company’s security policies.Users also enjoy multiple separate vaults for personal and business use, transferable vaults, and easily administered access control to vaults. 1Password also features a travel mode to protect sensitive passwords when using other networks. Users can select important passwords, and when they leave the network, the passwords are removed until they return. Lastly, 1Password offers multiple ways to set up two-factor authentication, including SMS, facial recognition, fingerprinting, and more.
Keeper is noted for being easy to use across devices, organized and accessible on any screen (e.g. mobile). Keeper has a highly customizable interface, so administrators can tailor the user experience to best suit their needs. Additionally, Keeper can run security audits to check the quality of every password stored in the application. Keeper is also preloaded on some operating systems and devices, which makes implementation simple. And in 2021 Keeper launched Keeper SSO Connect, included in its enterprise subscription, a SAML 2.0 service to integrate Keeper with an existing SSO solution, which users already appreciate, as well as its user provisioning capabilities.
Limitations
1Password and Keeper have strong password management features, but there are a few areas where users have expressed some discontentment.
1Password has poorer usability compared to Keeper, largely due to more limited customization. At times, the Windows version of the 1Password software is updated at a slower pace than the Mac version. Password reset can also be difficult, as users have to reach out to the administrator to reset passwords, rather than having an automated system in place.
Keeper has limited two-factor authentication options in its basic package. Users state that sharing and role / access management may be more cumbersome than in 1Password. Lastly, Keeper doesn’t offer any travel mode or additional security measures for off-network protection.
Pricing
Both 1Password and Keeper offer free trials where users can test the products for a limited time before deciding if either is right for them.
1Password has three pricing tiers for businesses. The Teams package costs $3.99 per month per user and comes with basic password management features including password vaults and two-factor authentication. The Business package costs $7.99 per month per user and includes advanced protection features that administrators can enable. The Enterprise package is priced depending on the business and includes a dedicated account manager and setup training.
Keeper offers two pricing tiers. The Business plan costs $3.75 per user, per month and includes password vaults and basic two-factor authentication. Enterprise pricing is no longer published but may cost about $80.00 per user per year, and includes access to the developer API for custom integrations and advanced two-factor authentication features.
I can only think of scenarios where Keeper is well-suited, in my experience. I work in small business (i.e., sole proprietor, 1 employee) environments and Keeper is well-suited to my needs. I imagine it would also be well-suited to multi-user environments, but would require a great deal more management and organization in such environments.

1Password is so secure, that it lacks a self-managed "forget your password" functionality which means that as a manager, I have to approve password resets which may slow down some users.
On Chrome, the extension sometimes stops working when the browser is updated.

The 1Password app design is top notch, much better than a couple other password managers I've looked at. The app and service are very flexible, allowing for many different types of data storage. The browser extensions generally work very well, allowing for easy access to login information while using pretty much any modern web browser.

I have never had any issues with 1Password and they have always been able to answer my questions adequately resolve my issues. Furthermore, they have a robust peer forum that can be accessed. They have helpful "Get to know Apps", videos and many articles to assist in the process of using the product.

I have used the Apple cloud, but if you forget your password into that, once again, you’re at the mercy of calling customer service. With Keeper, you can use the thumbprint option to log on, and there’s any of your needed passwords. It’s fast and simple, and you don’t have to wait online to unlock the app you’ve locked yourself out of.
The spreadsheets and printed papers being passed around the office with passwords on them have gone! This is a huge security hole plugged.
Users actively use the software which says something - it is easy to use and intuitive. When software is not intuitive, it tends to not get used.
It gives IT control over who does what with passwords, and while difficult to quantify it is certainly a dramatically positive impact on the organization.
